General Questions

What is a Renaissance Fair?

A Renaissance Fair is an outdoor event that recreates the sights, sounds, and atmosphere of a historical period known as the Renaissance, which took place in Europe from the 14th to the 17th century. At a Renaissance Fair, visitors can expect to see costumed performers, musicians, and artisans, as well as participate in activities such as jousting, archery, and sword fighting. The fair typically features food and drink vendors selling traditional fare such as turkey legs and mead, and may also include educational exhibits and demonstrations on topics such as blacksmithing, weaving, and falconry. Renaissance Fairs are popular in many parts of the world and are often held annually in the same location.

What is your weather policy?

The SunCoast Renaissance Festival will be held “rain or shine.” The event will remain open during most rainy days. In the case of severe weather, SCRF Management will advise the guests and participants of a pending closure. You may check local weather forecasts or contact the Festival for any updates.

Please note that the SunCoast Renaissance Festival does not offer refund or ticket exchanges in the event of poor weather or closures.

We are an outside park so closed-toed shoes or sneakers are recommended.

Wear your favorite Renaissance styled clothing or visit one of the local shops to buy or rent your attire. There should be several clothing shops on site.

The SunCoast Renaissance Festival does allow leashed pets. A pet ticket is required for entry except for service animals.

What is your carding policy?
